Erika Carreno Villagomez, MScA, CCC-SLP
Erika Carreno has worked as a pediatric speech pathologist since 2000. She holds an Undergraduate Degree in Human Communication Disorders from the Instituto Nacional de la Comunicación Humana in Mexico City and a Master’s Degree from McGill University in Canada. Her focus is working with children and helping children and families to maximize their communication skills
Erika has completed training for the treatment of social cognition, oral myology, early language stimulation and intervention, Hanen Program Certified (coaching parents to stimulate language), and playing skills.
Erika is originally from Mexico City where she worked in Spanish as a speech pathologist in different settings such as hospitals, rehabilitation centers and private offices. She lived in Montreal, Canada, for 12 years and is fluent in french. She worked in Canada with pediatric clients in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and private clinics. She now lives in Maryland, with her husband, two sons and daughter, in her free time she enjoys swimming and baking. She is licensed to practice in MD and is a member from American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA).
