Even Marie Kondo still does it (sometimes)

It’s February! The month of love. Because here at SpeechKids, we like to keep things fun yet practical, we’ve got a self-love activity for you this month: decluttering with kids.

When the weather is foul and the days are dark, it’s a perfect time to stay in and sort through all the Stuff we accumulated over the holidays.

Maybe you’ll put some things in the closet for later.

Maybe some things you know you’ll never miss.

Maybe you make piles.

Maybe you just choose one thing that’s no longer serving you and get rid of that.

There are lots of ways to declutter and lots of ways to send a message to kids that it’s ok to get rid of things when they’ve served their purpose. We’ve put some down for you here, but would also love to hear about what works at your house.
