It's that time of year again. And so soon.

BACK TO SCHOOL.

But this time it's different. There are all those normal questions parents have when sending their kids back to school.

What should my child be focusing on? What questions should I ask my child's teacher? What can I do to best support my child while starting a new year?

Then, there are the additional questions that come with the uncertain situation in our country.

How do I navigate at-home learning, if that is what is happening in my district? How do I change my mindset to see what my child needs while at home everyday? How do I support the new emotions that come with not being able to socialize as much as they did last year?

It is A LOT! I know.

I may not have ALL the answers but I am certainly here to help. Working with children every day has allowed me to see some unique situations and needs that pop up while preparing to go back to school.

The truth is, with everything changing in the world on an hour-to-hour basis, all of our kids have needs that are special and specific to these new situations.

Kids are resilient and they will be okay — with the right support, of course. If you don’t know what that support looks like quite yet, you’re not alone. Let’s see if we can get you some answers.
