A leaf, an acorn, a blade of grass….

As the seasons begin to change here in the Northeast US (and even if they’re not where you are), it’s a perfect moment to take a few minutes and go for a WALK.

If you have Littles, you may not have to go further than your own front door. (remember: if you’ve opened the door and set even one foot outside, it COUNTS!)

For those of you with older kiddos, you can go into the woods or a park and really explore in depth.

Either way, these “treasure hunt” activities will stimulate language growth and development, not to mention expand sensory awareness, build social skills and connection between you and your kids.

We’d love to see photos of what you find! You can send them to us via email or tag us on Instagram @speechkidsc.

Now get outside!
