- Gabriele Nicolet, MA, CCC-SLP (Executive Director)
Gabriele has more than ten years experience serving preschool aged children with speech and language difficulties and with special needs. She has worked extensively in area preschools, providing school-based observations and evaluations as well as parent and teacher training workshops. Gabriele has near-native fluency in French and advanced proficiency in Spanish, and frequently consults on cases involving bilingual children. Gabriele has specialized training in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets), PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System) and ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), as well as extensive experience with augmentative and alternative communication systems, including high and low-tech solutions and sign language.
She received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Gabriele is the Chair of the District of Columbia Board of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and is licensed in DC, Maryland, and Virginia.
- Gillian Gladstone, MA, CCC-SLP
Gillian Gladstone holds a unique background of evaluating and treatment children in medical, academic, school, and private practice settings. She has also worked in and collaborated with various public and nonpublic schools across the DC Metro region. Gillian's clinical experiences include language delays and disorders, apraxia/verbal sequencing, and early intervention through play-based methodology. She specializes in improvement of oral motor skills and acquisition of speech sounds for children with complex articulation and phonological disorders. She received training in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) and the Kaufman Speech-to-Language Protocol. Gillian also applies her extensive medical background to treat children with feeding disorders. She has participated in the TalkTools course "Feeding Disorders: A Sensory Motor Approach" as well as the Mealtime Partners workshop with feeding expert Suzanne Evans-Morris.
Gillian received her Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Maryland, College Park. She is licensed to serve clients in both Maryland and DC.
- Kelly Hartman, MA, CCC-SLP
Kelly has a diverse language background, having majored in Spanish Linguistics before beginning her career in Speech Pathology. She specializes in school and home based therapy and has gained experience working in both public and private schools throughout Maryland, DC, and Latin America.
Kelly has received training in PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets) for the treatment of motor speech disorders as well as Social Thinking for individuals with autism, attention deficit disorders, and social anxiety. Kelly also values and enjoys working alongside children and families for whom Spanish is a first or second language and schools who take a dual-language approach to language learning. She is happy to provide therapy in both English and Spanish for children with delays or disorders in language, articulation, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
